Hemlock Girl Scout Council
2005-2006 Board Members
The board of directors consists of eight officers, 23 members-at-large, and eight Senior Girl Scouts. The board, composed of volunteers who are elected at the council’s annual Delegate Assembly, meets five to six times a year. Officers and members are elected to three-year terms. Senior Girl Scouts are elected to a one-year term.
One Senior Girl Scout is elected from each Area Association. They participate in the democratic process, having full privileges of speaking and participation except voting, unless she has reached the age of eighteen years. Pennsylvania law does not permit girl representatives under the age of eighteen to vote.
