| Hemlock Girl Scout Council provides many professional development and training opportunities for its staff and volunteers. We recognize that girls can only grow strong if the adults who work with them are empowered to develop their own skills and talents.
Adults who volunteer for positions in Girl Scouting are required to take training and are responsible for registering and attending the training(s) required for their position. Required trainings for specific positions include:

Program Level Training (updated when adult moves to new Program Level)
Going Places

Outdoor Training
(Outdoor Trained Adult, OTA)
Going Places, Cook Out (outdoor cooking), Camp Out (overnight camping)
Roughing It (experienced tent campers)

Training Guidelines
Registration is required for all council trainings, and must be submitted in writing. Click Here for registration form.
Participants attending their initial Hemlock Girl Scout Council training will receive a card to be taken to each subsequent training. This card is the recognized record of adult education progress within the council. Adult volunteers who complete training may be eligible to purchase earned recognitions as applicable.
To take Hemlock Girl Scout Council training, the adult must be a registered adult member of Girl Scouts of the USA.
